How To Train Your Dragon is a very awesome movie, that everyone should watch. All of my siblings enjoy it from 19 to 4. It is a very good story with action and a son and father revival. I love How to train your dragon. So if you haven't watched it then definitely pick it up and watch it. there is also to the series defenders of berk, riders of berk, and How To Train Your Dragon 2. so if you have watched this stop by and tell us how you liked it.

Seriously? Ugh. I get so sick of hollywood sometimes. It's like they just can't have a fully decent show/movie out there.

Well it was only one episode in the race to the edge series, but all the episodes in riders of berk and defenders are okay

We occasionally use RedBox to rent things if we know the library won't get it soon (that's what we did for Cinderella), but when the library's free, why not use it. ^.^

I did not really like How to Train Your Dragon, actually... I watched both the first and second, and... frankly, they weren't great. The characters swore. I didn't notice at first, as they modify the phrase a bit, but it's definitely swearing. I didn't like the story a lot, either, and the whole movie was saturated in false god worship—especially the second one.

((Warning this post will contain spoilers from the how to train your dragon movies Nuff said)) FaithSong thank you for sharing your View! Now i am going to share with you my view, of course these are my own opinions and i am not trying to change your View on anything. Here we go! First off i don't really remember them swearing, if it was a modified swear that is in also every cartoon in one why or another, as or idol worshipping there was none of that, are pagan gods mentioned, yes, do they show them bowing to idol's, making human sacrifices, while worshipping them? No. They do say the "gods" or praise "thor" but they never really worshiped them(and they prayed to thor in the Viking Quest Series, which seems to be a beloved book series). And frankly i liked that, they blasphemed there fales gods rather then blaspheming the Lord or Jesus (which other blasphemy are "oh my gosh, and jeez"). As for the story i thought they did well on both movies. Lets look at the first own. In the first movie Hiccup is an outcast Viking even to his father? but by the end Hiccup and his Father are reunited as Father and son. Did hiccup keeps secrets, yes, did keeping those secrets come back to haunt him? Yes, was hiccups father ha little to hard on him? Yes. But at the end of the movie you see something you never see in a disney movie, and that is this when that Hiccups father looks into his sons eyes and says he is sorry, the father is acknowledging that he had done wrong, but this is the part that is never seen in a disney movie, Hiccup looks back at his father and says he is sorry to! He is acknowledging he made a lot of mistakes! And as foe the second movie, they did a good job with the story. One of the best parts is when Stouk sees his wife again. And when he saves Hiccup. Hiccups father showed a love to his family that he was willing to die for them! I could go more in-depth as to what i like about the story of HTTYD2 but i think my post is long enough. So what do you think? Again i am not trying to change your opinion or view i am just stating mine. What do you think? Im i right or wrong? We can have a friendly debate over it if you would like

I did like how they did the villain in the second movie. It's a trend recently to give them a "sob-story," and say it's not their fault that they're a villain, because they had a bad childhood, or a tragic experience, or something like that. They didn't do that in HTTYD2. They gave the villain a "sob-story," I suppose (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), but they also made the point that it was his choice to be what he is.

So out of all the HTTYD movies and cartoons. Which one is your favorite?

Hard question!! Of the two movies, probably....oh goodness, I don't know! I guess the first, because I fell in love with it right away and it will remain special to me. I loved the second one too, though.... And I haven't seen all the cartoons so I can't say an absolute favourite, but I really enjoyed the one from The Riders of Berk - "Animal House" I believe it was called. That was cute. I'm eager to see more though. And your favourites?

Oh yes, that's a good one (Gift of the Night Fury) I know, they do. And the animation is weird, but it's still good.

well the animation is really good for the time they had, they had only 5 days to finish the animation every week (it came on cartoon network once a week) the story is a little different and so are the characters. But race to edge is the beast animated but has some really dumb stories sometimes

Oh I didn't know that. That's pretty cool. I still need to see RttE. Bummer that it has some dumb stories though.

Yah, sure you betcha. <---That was just a joke; I'm being "Minnesotan" except we really don't talk like that. Well, some Minnesotan's do, but not in our area at least. But anyway, here's to hoping! When does the second season come out?
