Finnis: What is this place exactly? You certainly don't look like the kind of person I usually see. Should we go and cheer this friend of yours up? To Adel: Has you mother gotten over you running away yet? She seemed pretty angry. Adel: She's not my mother and I wasn't running away. And she's still angry. Liesl won't listen to me either. Can we talk about something else? Finnis: Of course. I didn't mean to upset you. you can introduce me to more of your friends.

Andrew: It's a room where characters from different books meet - which means that, yes, you are a character from a book. And Clara? Eh, you can try if you dare. She'll come around eventually. She usually does.

Finnis: I think I'll leave her alone. It's kind of funny. I never would've thought I was in a story. What character am I then?
Adel: You're the hero of course. Who else could you be? Finnis: I suppose so. I wonder if I save you or the kingdom.

Andrew: I never expected to be a character either ... but it happened. Kinda weird, but you learn to roll with it.

Andrew: I believe she mentioned earlier that she's only half-human, so perhaps she's curious?

Lyra: Could be wrong, but I think I did say that I was curious. And Andrew is right, I'm only half-Human. So I was wondering if I was the only one who doesn't happen to be Mortal. *shrugs* *To Adel* No, you don't look like a fairy. Actually, fairies are seriously ugly creatures - look like monsters, although most of them are quite friendly, if a little stupid - which should make my affirmation that you are decidedly not a fairy into a compliment.

Clara: Then I guess we can be grateful that we have elves in our world instread? Dragon sorceresses are bad enough.

Adel excited: You have elves! What are they like? Could you tell me about your world? It sounds interesting.
Finnis: What is a world exactly? I'm not sure that I understand.

Clara: Our world is Earth. It is nice, normal, and there are not mysterious elves, flying horses, rainbow water or anything like that. However, we've been rudely plucked from it and forced to be the Water Princess and Fire Prince in this other world called Rizkaland that can deal with its own problems, thankyouverymuch. But we're stuck there. As for what worlds are, I wouldn't begin to say. That's a question for that Laura, not us.

Lyra: *To Finnis* Worlds are places within the universe, or multiple universes, which are reserved specifically for the use of retaining life within themselves. Some of them, like the "Earth" that Clara speaks of, are on one particular planet. Others, like mine, stretch over a full universe. Also, they sometimes share similar galaxies, constellations, and stars. *pause* Any questions?
*To Clara* Well, yes, you should be glad that you have elves instead, I suppose. Fairies aren't bad though, once you get used to them. Elves are a greater race, and nobody ever gets "used to them." We don't have Elves, per se, but we have Stars. Are the Stars in your world still what you call "alive" ?

Clara: *shrugs* I wouldn't know about the stars. I don't pay that much attention to them. And, actually, the elves of Rizkaland would consider themselves more "lesser" beings, having been created as helpers to mankind. According to legend, though, Queen Helen wanted to call them fairies, but her fellow kings and queens voted her down and they were called elves instead.

Lyra: My assessment still stands. That is a stranger world than I've seen yet - and that's saying something, considering that the last world I went to was inhabited by only three Half-Stars and a madman. Believe me, that didn't go so well.

Clara: You and Laura would probably get along well, then. She does a lot of world travelling. Yeah, I guess it's a pretty strange world, especially since I only have earth to compare it to.

Clara: Otherwise known as the Doorkeeper. She can control doors between worlds, and apparently, that's how Andrew and I got to Rizkaland. I have no idea where she's from. And it's altogether likely she could show up here. Our author is trying to limit herself to two characters in here ... but Laura is Laura and frequent gets away with things us other characters can only dream of.

Finnis: I think I've understood what you are saying about worlds, but what makes you think that this is all just a story? That's ridiculous.
Adel: I believe it. Our world is pretty normal. * she looks as if she is thinking hard for a moment and then starts laughing* What is normal anyway?
|
|
|
Post by FairyTaleArista on Jun 27, 2015 15:48:08 GMT -6
Andrew: That is a fair point. After all, normal varies from world to world, I'm sure. In Earth, computers are normal, in Rizkaland, they'd be an oddity. In Rizkaland, they have rainbow-colored water, which would mean pollution in out own world. So, really, normal only depends on what you are used to, yes?

Adel: Okay. I'n our world I think people use pens. If anyone wants to know about it ask Finnis. He's been places.
A door opens slighlty and there is the sound of a voice. "Don't worry. You'll be fine. It's perfectly safe. Go on." A scared looking blond girl in pink, brown and blue steps in and looks around nervously.
