Who's excited for the fourth Narnia film, The Silver Chair? I am so, so, so excited!! I just love the Narnia movies!! And I realize some of them are a lot different from the books, but I watched the movies before I read the books, so *shrugs*, I guess I just don't really care so much! Anyway, fantasy is my favorite, and I am so looking forward to seeing how this one turns out! I heard they finished writing the script!! Yay!!

The Silver Chair! That used to be one of my favorite Narnia books, though I can't remember it very well, now. I know they had some licensing issue that prevented them from filming it earlier. But they're actually doing it now? When is it supposed to come out?

I'm excited! They actually finished the script?! I love The Silver Chair. I just hope Will Poulter isn't too old to be Eustace, and it's too bad Tom Baker is too old to be Puddleglum again.

Awesome! Can't wait to hear when they start casting. I know Will Poulter is, well, a lot older than nine, but I still hope they can manage to pull it off. I hate recasting.

I'm looking forward to it. I hope they stay as close to the original as they did in the first one though.

I hope they stay closer to the original than the first one, even. Silver Chair is my favorite. And I want to see the Great Snow Dance. But the report that the script was finished is bogus. The moratorium on it from old contracts isn't going to help us get more Narnia too soon.

Yes we need the Great Snow Dance. Though It doesn't last very long at all in the book.

True. But what you see (or would see if it was visual) is cool, and how else can Jill get a mouthful of snow?

Yeah, that was one of my great disappointments in the BBC version - they put it in SUMMER!! No snow at ALL.

Yeah the BBC ones aren't great. They make Caspian too young. That's probably partly because he's older in the newer movies though. The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe must be about 10 year old now. 9 years ago I dressed up as Lucy for a birthday party.

It'll be ten years this Christmas - scary thought! (Which also means that I'll have been working on Rizkaland for ten years, an even scarier thought!)
I actually kinda like the old BBC version, but they were my introduction to Narnia, so I have a bit of a soft spot for them.

And since Caspian is supposed to be 13 in Prince Caspian, he's actually too old in the new ones. The technology in the old ones is bad, and I don't like their Lucy, but they're not bad storywise.

Yeah, Prince Caspian is way to old in the newer movies. My gandma had the old movies on VHS tapes and give them to my sister when she was younger.

You HAVE to read the books. They're so much better than any of the movies could ever be. They're my top childhood favorites, and continue to rank towards the top of my extensive list, just ask anyone who knows me.

Wow. I heard rumors but wasn't sure that it was going to happen. Yay! Do they have a release date yet? (Now wishing I could be extra. Lions, and centaurs, and knights, oh yeah!)
