And i know that marketing aspects. What i am saying us this. Did they specify in the movie why she had guy emotions or whu they where colored in that why? When i was little yellow was always the color of fear, not purple. We as Christians must examine things like this. For they are already putting homosexual stuff in catoon and kid shows. One of the movie daring one they did was in How To Train Your Dragon 2, when Gobber says "that is the reason i never got married, well that and an another. " this is supposed be Gobber coming out as gay. Now i am not saying anything bad about the inside out movie. I haven't seen it to form an acute option, but these are some of my concerns about the inside out movie. My question is this. Did they bring out anything i mentioned in the movie and clarified it?

Not really, I guess I just didn't look at things like that. I always think the best until it is proven bad. I did notice that in HTTYD2, but it didn't bother me too much.

Oh you must be careful with that kind of thinking. The world will always say that what is bad is good and will make all kinds of excuses as to why it is good. As Christians we must always be alert and in pray, it is better to expect the bad in everything (like movies and tv) and be presently surprised then to fall for the sudal evils thinking they are okay. After all Jesus did say "All of the worlds works are evil, and that is whu the world hates me because i testify to its evil and sin"

So, we finally saw the new Cinderella. I'm glad to have seen it, but I didn't fall in love with it. There were a couple concerns, like Ella's mom saying "I believe in everything" - they made it sound so light and fluffy, but that is a serious sentence. Believing in everything, means believing in Satan, and magic, and cults, etc. There is only one true faith and that is Jesus Christ. Not something to be taken lightly. The dresses were *very* low-cut and very tight, form-fitting. And yes, Cinderella *did* breathe REALLY creepily. She must have been majorly strapped into that dress to not be able to breath properly. I like Lily Rose as an actress, like in Downton Abbey (though sidenote: we skip episodes and parts of DA) but I didn't care for her as Cinderella. It was also pretty slow...but I also think that liking or not liking a movie also sometimes depends on the mood one is in when they go into it. So maybe that had something to do with it. I guess to me, it was just another Cinderella movie. I didn't hate it, but I didn't fall in love with it either. These are just my opinions, so if you liked it, that's totally fine. My younger sister liked it.

See thats what i thought! Her breathing in my opinion was one of the worst parts of the movie. (Thought i have to say i did find the frozen fever short funny. What can i say, i like frozen) i thought i just had too high expectations for the movie and maybe it was just me that saw it as a very slow progression in the beginning then a super fast ending

Yeah, I can totally see why, and I agree. I kept wanting to just take deep breaths for her. XD I haven't watched the Frozen Fever yet. Once the movie ended, I was out of the living room. ^.^ No, I saw that too. Kind of a bummer, but oh well. Hopefully Beauty and the Beast will be better...maybe.

Perhaps. It'd be nice to be pleasantly surprised, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. It doesn't come out for quite a bit, I believe..

Okay here on Movie Talk i wanted to ask and state something. After seeing how much people like the hunger games i wanted to post something about it but i never knew exactly what to say, i didn't want to offend anyone soni put it off. And if this offends you i am sorry i am just stating my opinion. Here was go 1) violence. How do you feel about violence in movies? Are you okay with it? Are you against it? Are you in the middle? Now me personally i have a problem with the hunger games movies. I never read the books and i don't think i want to. And just so we clear i don't mind violence in my movies. Heck i like the patriot, gladiator & braveheart movies (of course i fast forward any inappropriate stuff) but in the frist hunger games movie there is a change in the violence. It's child violence. Basically kids killing kids and having fun doing it. And i have to say after watching the first movie i was really desterbed over it. See i don't mind seeing adults fighting each other or killing the bad guys, but something about watching kids killing outer kids rubbed me the wrong why. Now i know some will say that they have to do that. But do they really have to put that in a movie? No, they could have changed it to adults or teens. 2) love triangle Now i know some will say "i don't like the killing i just watch it for the romance" now i know some people like romantic movies (they are personally not my favorite) and as long as it is not girls chasing guys around or the other way around then i think it's fine. But this is movie has a big love triangle that everyone seems to like. But dose it say in the bible that love triangles are a good thing? No. But dose the bible say anything about love triangles? Kinda. See Jacob loved Leia not Rachel but Rachel like Jacob. We all know how that ends and the mess it makes. But as Christians we sould not be like that. I don't think the Lord would like love triangles in a Christians life. After all a love triangle is kinda like this "i really like the way that guy looks and the way that guy looks. Who cares is that guys is dating an other girl" it is kinda like coveting lust. In conclusion. Should a Christian support a movie with senseless violence and love triangles? Well that is up to each one of you. I can't make a choice for you saying "yes" or "no". I know i don't like them and the only reason i have seen them is because my sister like to watch them. And we as a family usually watch movies together so... yea... well what do you think? As always let me know down below

Actually, contrary to popular belief, The Hunger Games is not promoting violence. They say it's bad and in MJ pt 1, Katniss and the other's are broken because of it.

And what Katniss and the others a feeling is what happens to everyone who kills someone for the first time, i think they refer to it as "cold blood or cold water or getting your feet wet" (i am probably wrong about the term) but after that killing comes more easy they say.

I haven't seen or read The Hunger Games, but I have no desire to, really. When the first one came out, I had checked the book out from the library, but after reading the description, I didn't read it. I'm uncomfortable with the whole of it. As for love triangles, I think they are frustrating. (Though actually, I believe Jacob loved Rachel - he worked 7 years for her, but got Leah instead. I can't imagine being Leah though; unwanted. It's quite sad). Romance in movies/books is always tricky. The thing I get SO frustrated with (it's a major pet peeve), is the constant kissing as if kisses are nothing. The world has become so numb to it, but kisses are pretty major in my opinion. I know everyone has different convictions, and that's fine. These are mine. I'm saddened that it's become the absolute norm to kiss and live together before marriage - it's pictures everywhere, and it's a terrible role model for all ages. =/

I'm a huge HG fan so I will defend it. There is a love triangle, yes. That bothered be to the end, but she picked the right one, the one she loved. They did get married.

BladeSpinnerRae well i wouldn't say leah was unwanted after all she did become jacob's favorite wife for a while, and obviously Jacob didn't mind having Leah he just wanted Rachel more then Leah. rayray i knew you where a fan. I could tell by your post (and as i said i didn't mean to offend). But because you (or when anyone is a fan) are a fan sometimes that makes it harder to see what's wrong with whatever it is you like. And lets be honest, it does endorse violence because all three books and all four movies revolves heavily upon that child violence from the first movie/book. Now as i said before i have nothing against violence but i do have something against child violence. Movies like the Hunger Games and Twilight are so very popular becusae of there violence and there love triangles and honestly a lot of young ladies and older ladies fall for this trap thinking it is just a 'love story' when in fact it is about nothing good or holy for the Bible dose say "fix your mond on whatever is good, holy, righteous" and in proverbs i am pretty sure it says "guard your heat! For from it flows the waters of life." And it also says "gurad your eyes! For they are thw windows tonthe soul!.. so if you eyes cause you to sin then rip them out! For it is far better to emter heaven blind then to go to hell with both your eyes" and what that last passage is saying is they we sould be careful what we allow y ourselves to watch (i am also saying this to myself) the world will tell us what to like and if we are not careful we can fall into that trap. Like me, i am a very big superhero fan, half if not more of my shirts have a hero logo on them. Thats how much a fan i am, but let me tell you this there are some comics i will never read, there are new marvel and dc movies coming out that i will not watch, and there are a lot of characters in marvel and dc that i don't like. Now do i kinda want to see some of those movies. Yes but i know what is wrong with them and i will not watch them no matter how much hipe they get or how good other will tell me they where. And i don't mean to make you upset, these where just as to why I didn't like the movies or books.

I understand completely what you are saying. I wasn't in the least bit offended, you can say what you think. I think that the books and movies are actually looking down on violence, as it is saying that enjoying those kind of things are bad.

Well i am trying to say is this. As Christians we should be careful of what we support. When we go to the movies and buy a ticket we are supporting that movie. And at end of the year the movie industry comes together and sees what are we looking for it a movie, they may say "look this movie made half a billion dollars, lets make more movies like this so we keep making that kind of money" i guess what i am trying to say is this. Be careful of what you support. Before i go watch any movie i make sure to read up on what's it about, what kind of content it has. If it has violence what kind of Violence? Is there going to be anything inappropriate in it? Let me use an example. When Man of Steel came out (and since i am a superhero geek) i already knew what kind of stuff to expect going in, out of the whole movie there was like three cues words and one of those was also a croud comment. Now when the movie Thor was coming out i was extremely careful with it. I know a enough about Thor in legends and comics to be cautious about all his movies. Now as it turns out they have bern good for the most part, but if i know a movie is going to have things in it that are not good, things that as a Christian i should not be supporting then i won't go see that movie. Like take for instance HTTYD 3, i really love rhe dragon movies but i may not watch the last one. Why because Gobber is gay. Now they may never show him with an other guy but i stil won't watch it in the theater, i may barrow it from a library but i don't want to support it if they continue with Gobber being gay (which they more then likely will continue with Gobber being gay). Now i can't tell you what you should and shouldn't support, i can ony suggest or warn. And as i said before these are just my thoughts and opinions if you have a different one then i would like to hear it. We can have a friendly debate if we have opposing views

I don't really think about things that way. No matter where you get it, you are supporting it, weather financially or by people seeing you with it. I didn't think Man of Steel was that bad, though I was distracted while watching it.

I think watching it in the theater and renting it from the library are two different things and here is way i think that. When you buy a ticket you are supporting it while it is in theaters. That is where they make the most, DVD sales are like a drop in the bucket to them and they don't even receive anything from library rentals. If i get it from my library i am supporting my library, but yes if i am seem with it them it my seem like i am supporting, but i think we all have borrowed something from the library and then returned it without supporting it. And when we are seem with it people will ask if you like it then you have a chance to say no. If i continually rent it from the library then that shows how that i am supporting it.
