Yes, this is the thread for all things food! Talk about food, ask about food, share good recipes, and whatever else. I like making up my own recipes and taking pictures of them. If there's any health nuts here, this is the latest recipe on my blog: Chickpea and Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies They're good, despite the fact that they might sound strange.
Anyhow, share and discuss food here!

Anyone else with food allergies/intolerances here? Cuz I have a really good gluten-free & egg-free banana bread recipe (also a sugar free substitution)

My mom is sensitive to wheat, so she can eat it, but she hurts afterwards. Oh, and sugar.

I bake sourdough bread. Some people like it and my younger brothers bought me some pans, but I've had a few complaints. The sourdough carrot cakes and brownies and pancakes went better.

I haven't been on here for a while. I'm glad you guys like discussing food!
I have another recipe for anyone who likes peanut butter. 3- Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies Try these because they're delicious! And super easy. It's like eating sugar and peanut butter baked together... like a candy bar. And if you like being more healthy, like I do, you can put less sugar- It'll probably be more crumbly, though.

Those look yummy! Anybody like Cadbury Cream-Eggs? They're a treat, not an actual egg, and they only come out around Easter and Halloween (at least here in America. In Europe I know they have them all the time). They are sooo good though.

Aiden: those look pretty good. I've had lemon bars, which are delicious.
BladeSpinnerRae: I don't know if I've ever heard of those. They sound interesting though.
Has anyone had cream puffs? Those are so good! It isn't overly sweet, but just really good! Another question: has anyone been baking or cooking lately? If so, what? I made most of my dad's birthday cake the other day. (It was a boxed mix, but I still had to fill it and stuff.)

I bake and cook every week. Dinner twice a week, bread about twice a week, something else most weeks. Today I baked bread. We were getting low.

I've never made cream-puffs, but I've had them and agree that they're good! Brie D When you make bread, do you make it from a starter, or no? We buy our regular bread, but my Mum makes bread as well from her natural yeast starter. It tastes really good right out of the oven.

Starter. Yes. I like it. Not all of my brothers do though. So we still buy a little bit of store bread. Also since it's not a quick process, having some extra bread in the freezer is good.

That's neat! Yeah, it is quite a process. I know the starter-bread is so much better for you, but I must confess I prefer store-bought bread for most things.

We used to make bread from a starter, and my mom got it to taste really good. But we haven't really had much for homemade bread lately...

That's cool! I think it tastes better the more consistently you feed the starter. I'm not positive though...! What I love is banana bread. We rarely have it though...but it's one of my favourite things
