Greetings everyone, I am new to all this forum stuff (so forgive my not-knowing-how) but after reading some of the stuff posted on this I thought I would give it a try. My name is Griffin, Lady Knight's work was introduced to me by my sister and after getting Resistance as a gift, I wasted no time in reading it. The book was amazing! It is one of the beast books I have ever read. I am not a big reader just because it is hard for me to find a book that I like. My favorite book genres are fantasy and sci-fi, I am a big comic book fan (thought I haven't really kept up with them), I also like drawing (I am not very good at it thought) I do really like tea too (I know it is kind of weird for a guy to like tea ). I am also attempting to write my own book. I hope maybe to be able to add something to this forum as I get to know you all.

Hello! I don't think it's weird you like tea either, actually I know a couple of guys who like tea. My favorite kind of tea would probably be mint but I also like almond and a certain kind of orange tea quite a bit.

Welcome Griffon! Good to have you join us - good books are hard to fine, to be certain, but Ilyon is among the best! And it isn't weird for guys to like tea - it makes them close to British and that much more refined. It's a sign of a proper gentleman. Although, Almond tea DOES sound interesting. Reminds me of frosting, though, since that's how my Grandmother would flavor her frosting. (And to avoid confusion with my username, I'm the Arista, or merely Arista when you're addressing me personally.)

Almond tea might be more like the flavors of black tea and almonds combined, if you like almonds I think you would like the tea. It tastes especially good if you add just a little bit of honey.

If memory serves me well it is about 3ish kids whose grandpa gose missing in the time stream (i think)

Ardnek, and I thought it didn't sound quite right, as I haven't hosted any giveaways lately. However, you may be thinking of Time Captives by Morgan Huneke.

The author is on the forum. And thanks for the compliment on my name. We play this game called "Nickname the Person Above You" and people kept doing things about Owls and stuff, so I stuck with it.

So this is just a little random but since we are talking about teas I was wondering if anyone has ever tried bubble tea?

Bubble tea? Bubble as in the serial object made when soap is added to water? That kind of bubble?

Bubble tea is made when you take tapioca balls and soak them in something (might be sweetened condensed milk) then add them to black tea and and then I think you add some more sweetened condensed milk. It's been a while since I had it plus I wasn't the one who made it, I just got to drink it and learn the history behind it. The tapioca balls are the bubbles.

It tastes pretty good but you have to be careful with those tapioca balls since you're supposed to drink this tea with a straw, I think two people inhaled a tapioca ball and started coughing. I'm pretty sure bubble tea originated in Japan.
