okay, just so you know there are comics made for kids that are actually really funny and still have a good story line

well for Marvel they are called "Marvel Adventures" and under that title you'll find Spider-man (YEA!), X-men, Power pack (I really like that one), Hulk, Fantastic Four, Avengers. I think they also started some new ones. So any marvel comic with the titel "Marvel Adventures" before any other name is for younger reads and are clean, no bad word, and nothing nasty or super violent

Just finished "Both of Me" by J Friesen... BladeSpinnerRae I understand what you meant about the ending. What did you rate it?

Yep, that ending...eep bourdongirl. I gave it 3.5 stars. But for the ending I did enjoy it...what would you rate it?

Oh a 3.5.. not good right?

Yeah I know what you mean bourdongirl...it was definitely interesting. Random fact: the author lives in MN Aiden: For me a 3.5 is closer to a 'so-so' book. One I liked, but either didn't love or had some issues with. a rounded '3' star would be an 'eh' kind of book, '4' is good but not an utmost favourite, and 1-2 stars are terrible. ^.^

So it is rated from 0-5?
|

Post by BladeSpinnerRae on Feb 4, 2016 17:37:38 GMT -6
Yep. 0 would be for a book that I either didn't finish because it was absolutely horrible or if I had to finish it and it was absolutely horrible and no one should ever read.

That's how I rated Merchant of Alyss by Thomas Locke. *shakes head* sadly the author put something in there I did not enjoy, especially being from a Christian author and publisher. @bladespinerrae That's cool! Have you read any books by Christa Kinde/C J Milbrandt? She is from Scandia, MN but lives on the West Coast now.

Aw, bummer! That's such a shame. No, I haven't! But I do know where Scandia is. ^.^ What kind of books does she have bourdongirl?

It'll probably be a five star book for me, I'm guessing.

I once started the first book in that series, and I remember it made me uncomfortable but it was so long ago that I don't remember why... Currently I am reading "Miriam" by Mesu Andrews and really enjoying it so far.

I really like it. I enjoyed it more than Pharaoh's Daughter, do you like Miriam better?

I haven't read that yet. Is it good? What are your thoughts on it? I'm not very far through it yet. Right now its not the happiest where I'm at, but all of course that should get better later in the book.

I am most definitely enjoying "Miriam" more than the Pharaoh's Daughter bourdongirl! I was a little nervous going into Miriam because I had some issues with TPD, but I am really, really enjoying Miriam! I'm almost done.

I just finished reading The Religious Beliefs of America's Founders: Reason, Revelation, and Revolution by Gregg L. Frazer (granted it was for homework but it was still amazing!) it was AN AMAZING READ! It's like $12.99 for kindle' Trust me it's not a waste of $12!

Sounds interesting!
I am reading "Under Eastern Stars" book two in the Heart of India series by Linda Chaikin. Actually my second time reading it. At the beginning of March I broke down and decided I had to reread the series. So good. I gave up on "Risen". Might see the movie, but not reading the book.

How sad for you. ... XD I have this one book that I've read at least 6 times. I looooove rereading favourites. Sadly, I haven't done that quite as much in the past couple years because of reviewing so many news ones. But I'm going to try to reread as many as I can this year.
