ninjaserena, Letter Perfect might be okay for you to read. You'd have to ask Mom. Fancy Pants is for a bit older of an audience I think. Thunder and Catching Fire are too violent for what you're used to, my dear!! Besides, you haven't read The Hunger Games yet. How about Little Women? Or Anne of Green Gables? You gotta read at least a few classics! Little House on the Prairie series? You're probably old enough to read Roses for Mama by Janette Oke. (Ask Mom). Remember you liked The Calling of Emily Evans? Goodness, I'll try to get some more teen books on my shelf for you to read!!!! (Bringing home almost the whole Christy Miller series, you know ... Then of course, you don't like Christy!! Haha.) You should get a kindle. It allows you to collect cheap and free books, and then you don't have to read on the computer! Oh good. Then I'll have some books to read. Even though I don't like Christy Well I am reading Letter Perfect. I'm quite a bit through, Probably half way. It is pretty good, and yes I need to qet a kindle. But unfortunately I am very poor.

I entered that contest to, though I knew next to nothing about her books. It turns out that Serena is very generous and likes to choose a runner up. That happened to be me. So I'm reading all of them to. Just about swallowed them whole.

Aiden, okay, sorry! An Uncertain Choice is a princess/knight YA tale. Some of it was a tad bit cheesy feeling; but it had some depth, and overall was a fun fairytale sort of story. It's definitely girly. I've heard of The Curse of the Spider King, but never read it! Read one of Wayne Thomas Batson's series (and loved it!), and two of Christopher Hopper's books. Still have to read the last book to his series. He tends to write with a lot of violence; but still interesting stories!

So you liked "An Uncertain Choice" shantellemary right? I had some issues with it. =/ The concept was great, and I love the cover, I unfortunately didn't fall in love with it though. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. I haven't read anything by Wayne Thomas Batson, or Christopher Hopper. I have a few books of Mr.Batson's, but haven't had the chance to read them yet. I'm still reading "Hiding Places" by Erin Healy, though I'm almost done. It's got gangs, murder, pot, a runaway, children...it's pretty tense. XD But quite clean, and nothing too graphic which I really appreciate. There hasn't been much faith at all, which has disappointed me, but.. "you better get used to disappointments your highness". XD

shantellemary So Christopher Hoppers books are violent? Is ot the white loin Chronicles? Well Curse of the spider king is pretty cool. It was actually the first fiction book i ever read. I like it, from what i remember it was well written for the most part, i think there was a little violence but nothing super graphic, it is a story that involves efls, gwars, special gifts, and for BladeSpinnerRae the only magic is the evil magic, world travelling.

Ah ok, that sounds pretty good! I don't recall which of his books I have...It's purple. I actually just got it a few weeks ago, so I don't remember the title, but I definitely am looking forward to reading it. I can't even remember what the first fiction book was that I read...well, ok, I guess technically it would have been the "Bob Books" when I was little learning to read. XD Did anybody else read those to learn?

Not Bob books, but I do remember some readers we had. I think the first non-picture book I read was The Prodigal Cat by Janette Oke. Mum and I started reading it together one evening and the next morning I was reading it before breakfast. I think it was a Saturday though.

BladeSpinnerRae, there were a few things about An Uncertain Choice that I could have done without. Namely, the rather detailed descriptions of horrible torture methods. *gag* *shudder* That was hard to handle for myself. Some parts felt a little too knight and princess, to the point of cheesy, but I felt the whole romance was ultimately done very sweetly. @ramulus, the White Lion Chronicles did get pretty violent and grim. But I still hope to read the last book! rayray, I've read Cinder! I'm not usually a fan of sci-fi, but I actually quite enjoyed it! And I was loving Scarlet (Book 2), until it got extremely violent/disturbing! Beware, if you're a sensitive reader at all. People say that Cress is not as violent though. So I'm hoping!

shantellemary Yes, the torture descriptions were WAY too much. Especially in a YA fiction. That really disappointed me, and I skimmed through a lot. But I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of the book! I've actually only read "Resistance" and "Half-Blood" thus far - not "The King's Scrolls" yet. I really want to though, and have it waiting for me.
