okay so I thought this could be interesting, and a good practice for anyone. Let's pretend I am a Hindu, and your are trying to evangelize me. What would you say?

is this what your said "It is super easy to type , but I sleep, and how it represents God and tell you about how he first pure color . When our heart is dark in color , they are sinners . She dropped to the red blood of Christ , and our hearts with white blood after they are"

Nope, I explain the colors Gold, Black, Red, and White to them and how they represent how God is Pure, our hearts are black, Jesus' blood is red, and then our hearts are white. Google translate isn't exact.

Just wanted to pop in here quick...while I do not know exactly what I would say yet (someday I pray I'll get the experience! I know in my heart I shall go to India one day), I have a book that is all about sharing your (Christian) faith with Hindus. It was a b-day present from my family one year, along with another book on India/Christianity. I haven't had the chance to read the first one yet, but it should be good! Witnessing is harder than one would think. But as the Bible says, He will give us the words we need to speak. Okay, that's all. Any time Hindu or anything India is mentioned, I jump. XD

rayray I don't really get what your saying, but this would be a Hindu kids response "oh that's nice, I like that god, i'll add him to the list!" See if you don't define that the Lord is the only God and the Only Way to heaven they will just accept Him as another god, because they love adding new gods to the list of gods they worship BladeSpinnerRae that's cool! I have personal spent more time studying Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. a great book is ray comforts world religions in a nut shell

Really Aiden? That's neat! If you don't mind my asking, what first struck your interest in studying those beliefs? I'll definitely check out that book, thanks for sharing!

no problem; well BladeSpinnerRae it is not only the religion of my ancestors, but these two religions influence a lot of things. From movies to cartoons to workouts, that is way I learned about them. It helped me to see all there influences

oh I do rayray and your idea is a good one (if you remember what the colors mean to the people and what they stand for). But if you don't make sure that they know that Jesus Christ is the only way and the Only God they will just add Him to the list. See the Hindu love Christ, they love the idea about Him, they love Him just like they love their other gods, they just don't love Him as The God. does that make sense?

Aiden, as I said, the audience for this message is like seven and under, so what this does is explain a bit about how salvation works. Then you tell them more and more about Christ.

I know, and I think your idea is a good one rayray, I am just saying that with Hindus you need to make sure they understand that Jesus Christ is the only God

Ok. On this topicish, what do you guys think about being saved at an early age? I was saved at around five, but when I was nine or ten I realized that I wasn't really saved. This is a problem to me, because some people hear about Jesus at five and pray and then think they are saved. I'm not saying that all of them are unsaved, but I do think that it's dangerous.

well it all depends on the person. so what problem are you having? Are you saying that your problem is the "pray this prayer and your saved" thing little kids often hear and do then think they are saved.

Exactly. When we did our five-day club, we talked about this.

well in my opinion I don't think it is ever a good idea to say "pray this prayer and your saved" to anyone, not just kids. I think if your telling kids about the gospel be honest with them. Don't make it a 'little kids version' just up and tell 'um the truth. Most children don't even fully understand what 'saved' is. But if you give them the full gospel and they come to you wanting to be saved, then their is nothing wrong with praying with them. For in order for someone to be saved is that they "Repent and believe"

I agree! Saying a prayer doesn't mean you are saved.

so what are your thoughts on "80% of 'Christian' teens leaving the church once they reach college"? that means that 8 out of 10 kids you go to youth group with will leave the church at the start of college. what do you think is causing this? and what do you think can be done?

Um, not sure about that, all of the youth members at my church are still strong christians. Maybe at other churches...

it's just a statistics, most of that 80% are the 'I never thought they would leave' but any thoughts on it?

I think it's because most youth groups don't teach teens what they need to know, they have a short lesson and then games and food.

so if they walk away it's the youth pastors fault?

No, of course not. But many of the youths that I have visited seem less concerned with grounding the youth in their faith and more concerned with having fun.

Interesting. See I would say it was because they where never saved to begin with, that this 80% we are seeing is just showing what was in their hearts the whole time.

I won't even say that, although many weren't. Until a person dies, you can't say that they were never saved because you don't know their heart. People get lost, especially when having to leave their home.

ummmm... yes I can, Jesus said in Matthew 7: 16-20 "16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them" So if a person's life is not demonstrating the fruit of Christ then that person is not of Christ but of the devil
