It isn't, they are pro-homosexual. But I think that the cups aren't even a problem at all.

It's ok for Starbuck to have solid colored Christmas cups.

really Christians fighting on there cups now there are bigger things at stake then coffee cups! like the needless lose of life (bty pray for the French, things really bad for them right now, so please pray for my fellow French) anyways Starbucks was never Christian or ever pretended to be so, there logo is actually taken from the horoscope (or something like that). But that brings up an other question, should Christians shop at the outright pro-homo Target?

I'm going to mention that modesty isn't just about how much clothing people wear, but about not calling unnecessary attention to yourself. So please don't wear neon shorts.

um..... I assume you are being funny with the neon shorts, right?
And yes, i agree that modesty isn't just about clothing but it sure is A LOT about clothing...

I was trying to be funny, but over here at least they exist. Well maybe not quite neon, but pink. They're dreadful.

Well over here we have all the neon colors of the rainbow. For me i have decided not to ever wear neon shorts, pants, shirts that are to small. Skinny jeans. Shirts that have questionable images. And not to wear jeans that fall of. And your right Brie D it's not just about what you wear but also about not trying to draw attention to oneself.

I definitely agree with Brie D about the not drawing attention part. Also, I actually have walked down the hall at school behind guys whose pants were hanging WAY too low -_- It's not cool (I don't understand why it might've ever been considered cool in the first place!) And in gym sometimes they'll just stand there and pull up their shorts until they're about the length of the girls' gym shorts. It's just... no. Not okay. : P

yea that is so weird, so what do you girls think is modest for you? we took a look at the guys so I think it is only fair to take a look at the girls.

Well, again, it shouldn't be inappropriate attention drawing. So not super low cut shirts, shorts where the pockets hang down past the end of the shorts, or stuff that's see-through. I personally also don't wear any shorts that are shorter than halfway to my knee (& I think most of mine are longer than that) and no spaghetti straps/sleeveless tops.

I agree, the purpose is certainly not to draw attention to us, but to point others to God. For me, I wear skirts - when I began wearing them it wasn't for modesty (I was little) but rather for comfort, but as we learned more as a family, it grafted into modesty. I will wear long sweater-shirts with leggings occasionally, and around the house I wear pants sometimes. Shirts are definitely harder modesty-wise but it is possible. I just want to make sure I'm adequately covered, and honouring God with how I dress.

Clothing that's way to tight is also immodest. (and about the guys with they're pants falling way down... why do they think that's cool? It's pretty ridiculous. )

( pants hanging off actually came from guys from jail, it means something really nasty) I think it is fine if a girl wants to wear pants, as long as they are not like yoga pants or those pants that look like an angry cat/wolverine got to them (who ever thought of those must have been on crazy)Yes and those super short shorts are a no no. But I think it is okay if a girl wants to a shirt with no sleeves (but still has something to hold it up on the shoulders) is okay (it gets really hot over here, so sleeveless stuff is fine with me, of course these are my own thoughts and I am not trying to impose them on you. Some people think pants are okay and others think pants are totally immodest, and it's okay to have different options on it, I think as long as we are looking to honor God in everything we do, from what we wear to what we do, we won't have any problems. from WWUTT www.youtube.com/watch?v=WinE8bGCycw give this guys a look up, they are pretty good

By sleeveless, I meant nothing over the shoulders at all. And I'm not saying those tops are bad, just that I don't wear them. Question: when you say yoga pants, do you mean sweatpants or leggings?

well I guess they are kind of like leggings, but some people wear yoga pants that are totally see-through. I think leggings are okay if you have something over them

BladeSpinnerRae Interesting what you said about first wearing skirts for comfort. I know I wore skirt when I was little, but I didn't really have much of an opinion then. Then as time went on I tended to wear pants and shorts more and more. I would still wear skirts to church in the summer at least, and sometimes I wore them to fit in more with really conservative homeschoolers. But then I started trying to wear skirts, because they are more feminine. Now I wouldn't go back, mostly because I find them much more comfortable. Of course there are odd occasions (like caving) where it is more modest to wear pants and I will, but I don't like them any more. As for other things, my skirts all come down to the knee at least and I don't wear tops that are very tight or low. I don't wear sleeveless tops either though I think that one with wide straps can be modest.

Brie D I had, and still struggle with, sensory integration "disorder". There's a bit that goes along with it, but clothing is the main thing for me - it's kind of like having really heightened senses - I feel every piece of clothing (the type, the seams, etc.) and some are unbearable. So for most of my life, skirts have been MUCH more comfortable than pants. There was a season where I wore overalls pretty much exclusively, and I had a couple select pants that were okay, but yeah, skirts are higher on the comfort level for sure. Some aspects of the sensory problems for me have lessened over the years, but some are just as strong, just in different areas. And I agree, I like skirts because they are more feminine too. But you're right, there are activities that are better done in pants. I usually wear pants to do our outside chores because it's easier.

That's interesting. I too wear long skirts constantly and love them. To me it's about modesty, but I do also prefer the comfort and look of skirts. I think skirts make girls look more beautiful as well. And yes, a few things are more modest in pants... but you can do almost everything in a skirt. Just wear leggings underneath. Climbing trees, swinging, butchering chickens, running races, riding horseback, riding bike, playing sports - I've never had a problem in a long skirt. Skiing is the one exception I've had... But the biggest issue - for both guys and girls - is this: if we are claiming the name of Jesus Christ, how are we presenting Him? We are representing the King of Kings and the kingdom of God to the world. Do we show respect for Him and for our witness by how we look? It's true that God looks on the heart - and appearance/dress isn't the MOST important thing about a person. But it's also true that man does look on the outward appearance. Dressing neatly and modestly with good hygiene says a lot about a person and I believe reflects the testimony of Jesus Christ and Him living through us.

What do you guys think about shorts and their length? I personally am five nine and three quarters and my legs are longer than my dads who is six three, so shorts are a huge problem for me. I try to get seven inch ones, but they are still short on me because on normal girls they would be longer.

@ladyerika I would say that there are some activities where a skirts would be inappropriate, even with laggings under. rayray well I would say something longer than mid thigh, but everyone has a different option on it. If I where you I would ask my parents. At the college I am currently attending the absolute shortest shorts a girl can have is mid thigh.

That's what I think, but they are sometimes a little shorter than that. If they were to be a dollar bill length for me, which is what most people deem modest, I would have to get them tailored.

Uh no. I hate shorts above the knees on guys. Thank goodness my bro wears cargo and basketball shorts or else I would be super grossed out. ((He swims, so that's why he wears basketball shorts.))

what counts as hardcore? I swim in the winter in a pool without a heater, in the early morning. Does that mean he wears speedos ?
